The overall goal of the Archivi,ng research team in 2024 is to generate use cases, case studies, and foundational knowledge products that can be used by a diverse audience to support Archivi's mission of recapturing lost Nigerian history. Lost history in this context refers to articles, music cover pages, fashion magazines, videos, policy documents, pictures and much more.

Objectives

To achieve this goal, the research team will have the following objectives:

  1. Conduct research on the use of digitized historical newspapers to identify best practices for making these resources accessible and useful to a wide range of users.
  2. Develop case studies that showcase how digitized historical newspapers can be used for research, education, and storytelling.
  3. Create foundational knowledge products such as bibliographies, glossaries, and timelines to help users understand the context of the historical newspapers they are accessing.

Specific Objectives
