Introduction
The proposed project aims to digitize historical newspapers from the Civil War era (1967–1970) and, if feasible, some publications from 1966 that provide context on the socio-political climate leading to the war. The scanning initiative will take place at two key locations: the Kenneth Dike Library, University of Ibadan, and the Nigerian Archives in Ibadan.

- The scanning process is scheduled to run for one month, however, we need to be prepared for the possibility of an extension depending on unforeseen circumstances.
- Document Storage Format:
- Files will be uploaded using the following naming convention: [Newspaper Name][Date][Year]
Team Structure and Responsibilities
- Project Coordinator: Lekan – Responsible for overseeing operations, ensuring logistics, and managing student scanners.
- Scanning Team: Four students from the University of Ibadan will be recruited to conduct daily scanning activities.
- Two students will be stationed at the Kenneth Dike Library.
- Two students will be stationed at the Nigerian Archives.
Work Schedule
- Scanning will take place every day of the week.
- Each student is expected to scan a designated number of pages per day to ensure the timely completion of the project.
